Since 1992, CSRO Cotton Research Unit has conducted large scale insect management trials in the upper and lower Namoi Valley.

The computer based decision support system, entomoLOGIC was first developed five years ago as a basic prototype. The first release of the DOS version for commercial use was at the Cotton Conference in 1992.

Two years ago, the computer program entomoLOGIC 1 was first made widely available to cotton growers and consultants.
