This Summer 20012-13 edition of Spotlight reports on how the industry responded to the recommendation of the 2003 environmental audit and further recommendations for improvement. Initiatives in building on the model of research Development and Delivery post Cotton CRC with an industry partnership approach are outlined. Helicoverpa resistance to conventional and Bt cotton, silverleaf whitefly management and stewardship of herbicides with particular reference to glyphosate, energy use and fibre quality are discussed.
