The weather station was installed September 2012 close to Walgett in an place that is central to the majority of Walgett cotton growers. It is working well recording rainfall, wind, temperature etc.

This project aimed to improve cotton irrigation WUE using dynamic deficits to (i) avoid plant stress and maximize yield and (ii) make the most effective use of in-crop rainfall.
