Risk is ever-present in Australian agriculture. It is not a new issue for farm businesses and has in fact often been the driver for new ideas, innovation and change.

The aim of this training was to build industry biosecurity capacity and provide a gap analysis for boll weevils.

Prior to teh commencement of the 2016/17 cotton season, it was predicted that early season pest numbers would be extreme and widespread due to good winter and spring rainfall in all areas.

This funding supported a workshop aimed to build industry capacity to respond to a biosecurity incursion. A gap analysis for cotton boll weevils was used.
