One of the aims of this project is to assess the N fertiliser requirements of cotton under more enlightened tillage systems currently being adopted.

Proper nutrition is one of the many factors necessary in achieving the high yield and quality standards we have set for our cotton crop.

OBJECTIVES * To make a direct and impartial yield comparison between two types of drip irrigation and standard furrow irrigation.

Several factors influence the nitrogen demands of a cotton crop and the ability of the soil and fertiliser to satisfy these demands. Some of these factors (eg weather) are beyond the control of a cotton grower.
