This report evaluates the impact of property-based rates levied by local governments and State-based land taxes on the ability of landholders to conserve native vegetation.

This project has focused specifically on grassy White Box woodland because of its scarcity and the extent to which it has disappeared or been degraded through competition with other rural land uses.
