Silverleaf whitefly (SLW) is a major insect pest of the cotton industry. It is a pest because it excretes honeydew that contaminates cotton lint, causing problems during textile processing.

The primary purpose of DAQ 122C was to investigate alternative pest management options under central Queensland conditions with a view to supporting and expanding the role of area wide management.
